Based out of our OFSTED registered space within the magical Newquay Orchard Grounds, Imagine Outdoors offers bespoke activities for groups of six students or on a 2:1 basis, catering to those who experience difficulties accessing the classroom as part of their full-time education.
Our Alternative Provision sessions are led by our excellent outdoor instructors, all of whom are qualified forest school leaders or possess equivalent outdoor experience. They also hold enhanced DBS certificates, Outdoor First Aid, and relevant safeguarding qualifications.
Our sessions have been designed with Outdoor Therapeutic informed practices in mind, and through practical bushcraft activities, nature art, planned play activities, and access to nature, we aim to build confidence, foster positive relationships with peers, and teach practical outdoor skills.
We have consistently observed the benefits that time in green spaces can have on young people’s social, behavioral, and self-esteem. We utilise goal sheets, developed in collaboration with SEN leads/behavior leads from schools, to create reports that can support children’s EHCPs and provide evidence of impact.
Examples of these can be found on this page.
