Established in 2019 by Matt and Gemma, Imagine Outdoors brings together their extensive experience in outdoor education.
Matt's journey in the outdoors began at 17. He possesses years of experience facilitating outdoor activities for both children and adults through watersports and outdoor pursuits. His diverse background ranges from teaching toddlers to toast marshmallows to leading 14 day expeditions for teenagers in the Australian Outback.
Gemma is driven by a passion for environmental education and conservation. Having spent several years providing alternative education for young people with SEND and social, emotional, and mental health needs, she consistently found the outdoors to be an invaluable learning tool.
But with all of these experiences at the heart of it all are positive experiences for children and sharing that with their peers and that is what led Matt and Gemma founding Imagine Outdoors to help people across Cornwall connect with the region's beautiful green and blue spaces in engaging and innovative ways.
Since 2019, they, alongside their team of freelancers, have collaborated with schools, home education groups, and parents to offer a wide array of outdoor activities tailored to diverse needs.
Their core mission is to foster joy, enhance well-being, and empower individuals to explore the natural environment.
In 2023, they furthered their commitment to community needs by establishing Imagine Outdoors Together Community Interest Company. This social enterprise allows Imagine Outdoors to focus on societal impact, enabling collaborative partnerships with other organizations and creating more opportunities for everyone in the community.
